The Blogger Followers Gadget Is Available - Really!

Some blog owners can't figure out how to add the Blogger Followers gadget, to their blogs.

We see occasional confusion, in Blogger Help Forum: Get Help with an Issue, about installation and use of Followers.
After typing
https://www.google.com/friendconnect/
into my browser, I am redirected to
Blogger Help: Manage blogs you follow
How do I install Followers?

The Blogger Help article is about using Following - once it's been installed.

This blog owner wants to use Blogger Followers - but is not finding the expected selection, in "Add a Gadget". The confusion is not hard to understand, given the relative visibility of Blogger Followers vs Google+ Followers.

The two gadgets are in separate sections of "Add a Gadget".

The "Google+ Followers" gadget is in the Basics list, while the "Followers" gadget is at the bottom of the "More Gadgets" list.

Look in the main, "By Blogger" list, for Google+ Followers.

Look near the bottom of "Basics'.

And there, we see "Google+ Followers".

"Highlight your total Google+ audience (both its size and some friendly faces), and offer visitors the chance to follow you on Google+."

Look in the secondary, by third party providers list, for Blogger Followers.

Look at the very bottom of "More Gadgets".

And there, we see "Followers".

"Displays a list of users who follow your blog."

Hopefully, with the Followers gadget being redesigned, this inequality will be reduced. Until it is, just understand how to find each gadget.

Thank you for this post - but I'm just a little confused.
I tried adding the new one - but it looks just like the old one already on my blog.
So should I install the new and delete the old?

Add A Custom Redirect, If You Change A Post URL

When you rename a blog, the most that you can do, to keep the old URL useful, is to setup a stub post , with a clickable link to the new URL. Yo! The blog is now at xxxxxxx.blogspot.com!! Blogger forbids gateway blogs, and similar blog to blog redirections . When you rename a post, you can setup a custom redirect - and automatically redirect your readers to the post, under its new URL. You should take advantage of this option, if you change a post URL.

Jump Break Is Visible Only In An Index Page

Some blog owners are unsure what a Jump Break looks like, when applied to their blogs. Occasionally, in Blogger Help Forum: Get Help with an Issue , we see the confusion. Where's the Jump Break? or I added a Jump Break to several posts, but it never shows up! When asked for a screen print of what they're seeing, they may provide a image of the post, in the Post Editor Preview window - or possibly, the published post, but in post page view.
