Blog Owners Seeing "Conflicting Edits" Error

One mysterious monolithic error message, reported by Blogger blog owners for some time, is the mysterious "Conflicting Edits" error. There was more than one attempt to edit this resource at the same time. This may have been because you double clicked on a link or a button or because someone else is also editing this blog or post. Please hit the back button on your browser and try again. If the problem persists, please contact the Blogger Help Group. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Some Bloggers Seeing "Blogger Unavailable" When Maintaining Specific Blogs

Some bloggers are reporting lately that when they try to access, post to, or maintain their blogs, they see Blogger Unavailable The message appears to be specific to individual blogs, and to be independent of browser, computer, and network being used. One blogger reported this problem with his blog, "jetreidliterary.blogspot.com", and specifically not with his other blogs. I can't see or post to my blog: jetreidliterary.blogspot.com I can see and post to my other blogs. I've cleared my cache, tried to log on from other other computers, run all the security programs again. The problem is, apparently, in the blog. I got this picture after weeks of waiting. This one comes from trying to publish a comment to " althouse.blogspot.com ". Other blogs get this when editing a post, or changing the template. See various comments below. Obviously, the problem is with the individual blogs, as I am getting comments here from folks who see the problem, in th...

Disappearing Posts - The Mystery Still Continues

This morning, thanks to the latest reported problem with FTP Publishing , I felt the need to write a new post. And having written my new post, I saw yet again another current (and too long well known) problem with Blogger. This is not good! How do I advise bloggers who want to publish using FTP, if they can't see the blog? But, I calmed down and realised that this, in itself, wasn't a major problem. This is a new post, so republish the new post. But, neither republishing the post itself, nor publishing a new Draft post (the recommended workaround from Blogger Support), made any difference. The blog remained blank. Fortunately, I did think to check the individual post, and that was visible with no problem. So, I waited another 5 minutes or so, and eventually the blog main page became visible, without any further action by me. But wait - - there's more! Later that morning, I wrote this post, published it, and saw the same thing! This is getting monotonous! OK, that...

Disappearing Posts - The Mystery Continues

The problem with disappearing posts - blog posts that display with no content (except the post title - examine the photo below, please) visible, was first reported several weeks ago. Today, I felt the need to update my post about this issue . Having updated the post, I refreshed to test, and poetic justice here, saw a surprise. OK, enough! How can I help people, if the content which I use to help isn't visible? And as random as the problem seems to be, you never know if any one of your posts is currently white screened. With any blog of any size, you could have one or more posts white screened at any time, and never know about it. And with caching latency , some of your readers at any time, might have a fresh copy of your post, provided by Blogger immediately before the problem hit your post. Only those with no copy of the post, or a stale copy of the post, will have to retrieve the problem post. So not all of your readers will see the problem. And this problem continues, sti...

Disappearing Posts - The Mystery Begins

Today, we have a mystery - disappearing posts. I felt the need to revise my post Custom Domain Publishing, And The 404 Error , so I found a link to the post, selected "Open In A New Window", and let it load. A new window is what I got. With the blog contents, but not the post contents. I even cleared browser cache, and tried again. I looked at page source, using View - Page Source (Firefox), and the code listed contained no post content, either. It's not a dropped post problem . Note the browser window, at the top, where you'll see the post title. Just no post content in the blog body. Having made the above picture, and uploaded it, I tried again maybe 10 minutes later. Now the post shows up fine. (Update 3/3): Today, this problem became even more interesting . (Update 3/2): If your blog is showing this symptom, first try a workaround suggested by Blogger . If that doesn't work, try using the " Edit Posts " menu - select all posts ("Select...
