Creating A Subject Related Feed

This blog is about blogging, and I suspect that a few of you have subscribed to one or more of the feeds that are provided here. I use a number of feeds, too, in this blog - look in the sidebar.

When your blog has an activated feed, every label search can be accessed as a feed. You can subscribe to one of the topics related feeds here - maybe my Labels feed, or my internationally relevant topic - Languages.

You can include subject feeds from other blogs, too, using custom feeds published by services like FeedBurner.

Just decide what you want, and use your imagination.

I am really new to blogging and I am enjoying reading your posts:however, being new to the Blogger world, I really do not understand all that you are talking about!!!

So, I am trying to figure out 1st, if their is a free counter that can be added to my blog that works like the counters that you add to websites? They simply look like a box or set of numbers using near the bottom of your page. After being added to your page, they simply keep turning with each new visit.

The other thing I was wondering is about the feeds. If I enable the feeds in my controls, then others can access my site in whatever way they wish, correct? I am thinking hopefully, that this might increase my following, eventually, but without changing the appearance of my blog. And that it only changes the way in which other read my blog! Correct??

Sorry, if this sounds simplistic, but I only created my blog yesterday!!!

Thank you, Kathy

BTW, did you create the note about comment moderation???

Add A Custom Redirect, If You Change A Post URL

When you rename a blog, the most that you can do, to keep the old URL useful, is to setup a stub post , with a clickable link to the new URL. Yo! The blog is now at xxxxxxx.blogspot.com!! Blogger forbids gateway blogs, and similar blog to blog redirections . When you rename a post, you can setup a custom redirect - and automatically redirect your readers to the post, under its new URL. You should take advantage of this option, if you change a post URL.

Jump Break Is Visible Only In An Index Page

Some blog owners are unsure what a Jump Break looks like, when applied to their blogs. Occasionally, in Blogger Help Forum: Get Help with an Issue , we see the confusion. Where's the Jump Break? or I added a Jump Break to several posts, but it never shows up! When asked for a screen print of what they're seeing, they may provide a image of the post, in the Post Editor Preview window - or possibly, the published post, but in post page view.
