Until it's fixed, we'll have to host animated .gifs from either Google Documents, or Picasa.Nitecruzrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08069634565746003311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-10579588704198940772007-08-02T13:49:00.000-07:002007-08-02T13:49:00.000-07:00My animated GIFs also just stopped working (8-2-07...My animated GIFs also just stopped working (8-2-07), despite being fine for 6 months. The same image opened in a blank browser animates just fine. I tried uploading the pictures again with a slightly different name, but the animations still doesn't work.

Anyone have any ideas here?

Michael
www.MichaelBassDesigns.comMichael Basshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13098263214636193707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-48129721238631102502007-06-12T22:29:00.000-07:002007-06-12T22:29:00.000-07:00The problem that most Bloggers are seeing is uploa...The problem that most Bloggers are seeing is uploaded pictures. Animated .gifs upload as .pngs.

Saddams Cat, in its original location, was working fine when uploaded 1/22. It stopped working later, and I did nothing to make it stop working. It's a .gif.Nitecruzrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08069634565746003311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-81730493889941938182007-06-12T21:36:00.000-07:002007-06-12T21:36:00.000-07:00I don't know if I am going to tell you anything yo...I don't know if I am going to tell you anything you don't already know.

So, the animation breakage is related to Blogger's handling of the image in storage. I think your gifs will never get better and start animating again. When I downloaded and looked at saddam's cat, there was no animation information, it's just a nice picture.

I downloaded Saddam's cat from somewhere else and it animates in a post if it is on my web site. If I upload it to Blogger, it stops working. I did an example at Animated GIF test.

Tomspavelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05640977875783668431noreply@blogger.com
