At any rate, I am back to my usual seven comments, mostly from one of my sisters and all from a few years ago. I am my biggest fan (lol).Luciehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12350931630777404038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-81949117651021062682010-06-20T09:55:13.055-07:002010-06-20T09:55:13.055-07:00Lynda,

Then those generic comments (which made NO sense, given my content) showed up. KILL! I don't have so many readers that this is a big problem, but some bloggers must have to do a lot of extra work to delete these creepbots.Lynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12249943034327613888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-49105991784210570402009-10-05T08:33:25.752-07:002009-10-05T08:33:25.752-07:00Ditto, Aviatrix. That is, a comment that leads in with a generic sentence, then copies verbatim the content of an existing comment on the same post. Not instantly evident on a post with a lot of comments, especially when many are of the form, "I agree, that guy should have gone to jail" or "congratulations, that's awesome."Aviatrixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13634111275860140084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-65339338984104581402009-03-28T00:05:00.000-07:002009-03-28T00:05:00.000-07:00I get that one all the time. So I did what you did -- Googled the exact words. Yep. Now I have moderation on for any posts older than 5 days. (I don't want to have to moderate posts when they are first published because I think it holds up the conversation.)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-54051708994974203452009-03-25T15:46:00.000-07:002009-03-25T15:46:00.000-07:00At least most blogs apply the rel="nofollow" to an...At least most blogs apply the rel="nofollow" to any link in their comments.Marfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11883134840667378998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24069595.post-86270178855900836542009-03-25T09:44:00.000-07:002009-03-25T09:44:00.000-07:00LOL, CAPTCHAs - riiight. And also it's kind of comical how spammers can play on our: a)excitement about comments, b.)delight in compliments and c.)desire to socialize with our blog.
